Minister for Environment, Climate Change, Disaster Management and Meteorology Hon Samuel Manetoali has thanked the Kingdom of Morocco for inviting him to a meeting between the North African country and Pacific Island countries in preparation for the 22nd session of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. Minister for Environment, Climate Change, Disaster Management and Meteorology Hon Samuel Manetoali has welcomed a Multi-million dollar pledge for Least Developed Countries (LDCs) including Solomon Islands to implement some of its adaptation priorities in the face of the effects of climate change. The United States of America, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Sweden and the COP21 host-France will donate a total of US$248-Million to the Least Developed Countries Fund.
